The House Is Going To Auction. The Kids Are In Florida. Dorit Is In London Declining To Discuss It.
PK's attorney sent a three-page letter documenting everything Dorit has failed to do. The loan she agreed to sign. The school Jagger doesn't have. The parenting schedule that was never provided. The meeting she proposed in London where she refused to talk about any of it. The letter required immediate attention. Dorit's attorney has not responded.
Let's do a quick geography check. The Kemsley family home on Adlon Road, Encino — $6.5 million, currently in foreclosure — is scheduled for trustee sale tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM. Behind a fountain in Pomona, as one does. PK is in London. Dorit is in London. The children are in Florida with their grandmother and the nanny. And nobody is talking to anybody. This is fine. Everything is fine.
A confidential letter from PK's attorney — Jill Foley Alexander of Summers Levine Lipsic & Hersh LLP — has been circulating. Three pages. Addressed to Sam. Sam is presumably Dorit's attorney. The letter required immediate attention.
Sam has not responded.
Dorit has not responded.
The house does not care.
THE LETTER — What It Is, Why It Exists, And Why August 6th Matters.
Before we get into the list — and there is a list — some context. On August 6th, 2026, there is a family law hearing. In a courtroom. With a judge. California Rules of Court, Rule 5.98, require the parties to meet and discuss before they get there. Not optional. Required. This letter is PK's attorney formally demanding that meeting happen.
It is also, for anyone paying attention, a document that will walk directly into that courtroom on August 6th showing exactly who tried to communicate and exactly who did not. Every unanswered email. Every ignored request. Every item on the list that got no response. All of it goes in front of the judge. The judge will read it. The judge will have questions. Dorit's attorney has not responded. Dorit has not responded. August 6th does not care.
This is not a strongly worded email between exes. This is a paper trail. And it is now public.
THE LIST — Six Things PK's Attorney Asked For. By Close Of Business.
Jill Foley Alexander did not write a vague letter. She wrote a list. Six specific items. By close of business. Here it is, exactly as requested — before we get into what Dorit did with it, which was nothing, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
2. The children's expected return date from Florida.
3. Full details of the children's current care, activities, and supervision while Dorit is away.
4. Confirmation of the status of both children's passport renewals.
5. Confirmation of the current plan regarding Jagger's school placement for the upcoming academic year.
6. Dorit's availability to immediately meet and confer regarding both the foreclosure proceedings and the outstanding custody issues.
Six things. Her location. The kids' return date. Who is watching them. The passports. The school. A phone call.
Not her Birkin collection. Not her post-op recovery notes. Not the launch party guest list. Six adult things that any parent going through a divorce should be able to answer before lunch.
Dorit did not answer before lunch. Dorit did not answer before dinner. Dorit's attorney did not answer at all. And the house — which is going to auction tomorrow at 10:30 AM — continues to not care.
The continued absence of communication, the lack of progress on critical issues affecting both the children and the family home, and Dorit's failure to engage constructively are no longer acceptable.
— Jill Foley Alexander, Esq., PK's attorneyTHE HOUSE — $500,000. Agreed. Drafted. Signed By Nobody.
Let us pause here for a moment. PK. Paul Kemsley. The man who went through bankruptcy. The man with $3.7 million in judgments against him. The man who snapped at a reporter who asked if he had money. That man found $500,000. How? We don't know. We don't ask. At this point PK finds money in places that should not have money. As we reported last week, he even leveraged Boy George — Phoenix's godfather — as collateral. The godfather's name is on a loan document. For a house Dorit is not paying for. While Dorit is in London.
The man is broke on paper and solvent in practice. He is a financial Houdini. A one-man emergency bailout service. A walking lender of last resort.
All Dorit had to do was sign the paperwork.
She did not sign the paperwork.
No documentation. No response. No attorney. No acknowledgment that a document existed, let alone needed signing. PK could not fund the loan. The loan that was supposed to save the house. The house that is going to auction tomorrow at 10:30 AM behind a fountain in Pomona.
This is not a complicated story. It is a story about a woman who cannot find a pen.
Family Law Hearing: August 6, 2026
Last Response from Dorit's Team: Unknown. Possibly never.
THE CHILDREN — In Florida. Without A School. Without A Return Date. With The Nanny.
While Dorit traveled to Europe for what her attorney's silence suggests was an extremely important vacation, the children — Jagger and Phoenix — were sent to Florida to stay with Dorit's parents. And the nanny. PK knew they were going to Florida. He did not know: when they were leaving, who was watching them, what they were doing, or when they were coming back. He asked. Multiple times. No parenting schedule was ever provided.
PK knows where she is. She called him. From London. To propose a meeting where she declined to discuss anything. The children, however, do not know where their mother is. They do not know when she is coming back. Jagger is 12. Phoenix is 10. They are in Florida with their grandmother and the nanny. Mom is in London. Nobody has told them when that changes.
The nanny knows where the children are. The nanny has a schedule. The nanny shows up. At this point the nanny should file for full custody. She has put in the hours. She has done the work. She is present. In Florida. With the children. Which is more than can be said for the woman who wrote a Mother's Day post about giving children "a deep sense of love, safety, stability, and belonging." In May. On Instagram. While the house was already in foreclosure.
Will Dorit ever come back? PK's attorney made it item one on the list. Still waiting.
As we previously reported, both children's passports have expired. Dorit knew PK wanted to take them to Europe this summer. No steps were taken to renew the passports. Dorit then traveled internationally herself. We will let that sit there without further comment because it does not require any.
And then there is Jagger's school situation. Which is not a situation. It is a crisis.
Jagger has no confirmed school placement for the 2026-2027 academic year. The school year starts in weeks. PK has personally met with headmistresses. Sat in admissions offices. Made the calls. Done the legwork. All of it — him. And the schools wrote to PK directly, in writing, to confirm that the applications failed because of Dorit's lack of meaningful engagement.
The schools said it. In writing. To PK. About his son. About next year. About September, which is coming regardless of whether anyone has signed anything.
The reasons the current applications have failed, including the timing of the applications and the difficulties that arose during the admissions process, have been confirmed to PK directly in writing by the relevant schools.
— Jill Foley Alexander, Esq.So to recap. Dorit is in Europe. The children are in Florida. The nanny knows more than PK does. The schools have given up in writing. Nobody knows when anyone is coming back. And the house goes to auction tomorrow.
| Issue | Status | Who's Responsible |
|---|---|---|
| Adlon Road mortgage defaults | Trustee sale tomorrow | Dorit failed to provide loan docs |
| $500K loan to cure defaults | Unfunded — no paperwork | Dorit agreed. Then ghosted. |
| Children's passports | Both expired | Never renewed. Dorit traveled internationally anyway. |
| Jagger's school placement 2026-27 | None confirmed | Schools confirmed Dorit's non-engagement. In writing. |
| Parenting schedule / return date | Never provided | PK cannot make plans with his own children. |
| Dorit's income declarations | Filed under seal | Hidden from public record. |
| Response from Dorit's attorney | None | — |
THE LONDON PLOT TWIST — She Proposed A Meeting. To Talk About Nothing.
Here is where it gets genuinely impressive.
While in London — same city as PK, by the way, same city — Dorit reached out to him directly. She wanted to meet. Sweet. She declined to discuss the foreclosure. The school. The passports. The loan. The custody. Any of it.
So what was on the agenda exactly? Her summer? The Amalfi Coast was lovely this time of year, we assume. A new bag — because the Birkins don't buy themselves, except apparently the mortgage does not get paid either. Or perhaps her book. The one with the dagger. The one she definitely wrote.
PK's attorney had six items requiring immediate attention. Catching up was not one of them. Dorit had zero items. Zero responses. Zero signatures. Zero.
She is very consistent.
Not talking about it does not make it go away, Dorit. Well. The house will go away. Tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM behind a fountain in Pomona. But the debt? The debt does not go away. The debt follows you to London. The debt follows you to Paris. The debt follows you to wherever you are declining to discuss it.
We do not know if this meeting happened. It probably did not. Because when someone proposes a catch-up on the explicit condition that you do not discuss the house being auctioned, the son with no school for September, or the loan documents they agreed to sign and then vanished on — the correct response is to not go for coffee.
It is giving if I don't open the mail it is not a bill. Except the bill is $500,000 and there is a judge on August 6th who has been known to open mail.
WHY THIS TIME IS DIFFERENT — All The Exits Are Closed. Simultaneously. For The First Time.
This sale has been postponed before. Multiple times. There was a postponement because PK made last-minute payments. There was a postponement because Dorit filed something. There was a postponement because she was on vacation for her birthday. Her birthday. The courts, apparently, found this compelling.
But this time is structurally different. And here is why it is structurally different.
Previous postponements involved the first lienholder — the primary mortgage holder, who kept accepting PK's emergency advances and rescheduling the sale. Tomorrow's auction is being driven by the second lienholder. The second lienholder has never played along. They refused to sell the note at a discount. They refused to issue a new loan. They have been waiting. And now they are done waiting.
At the same time. PK has stopped advancing funds. He has been putting money into a property he does not live in, for a woman who agreed to sign a loan and didn't, and he has made the decision to stop. The LLC that owns the property — Adlon Road LLC — is suspended by the Franchise Tax Board. Not in good standing. Cannot legally file for bankruptcy to stop the process. And Dorit, who according to legal sources makes more money than PK and lives in the house, has spent her post-separation earnings on herself instead of the mortgage.
No PK bailout. No bankruptcy option. No cooperative lienholder. No attorney responding to anything. Just a second mortgage holder, a 10:30 AM sale, and a fountain in Pomona that has seen things.
One more thing. Should whoever buys that house decide to check the basement — as we have previously noted — they may find a considerable quantity of books. Books that appeared on the NYT Bestseller list. Books the NYT flagged with a dagger symbol (†) — their official notation for titles where bulk purchases raise questions about whether the sales were real. The New York Times did not say the books were fake. They simply placed a small dagger next to the title and allowed readers to think about it. Which is exactly what we are doing now.
The Birkins are in London. The house, and whatever considerable quantity of books may be in the basement, goes tomorrow. The new owner is in for a surprise.
We'll leave it at that.
Six things. Her location. The kids' return date. Who is watching them. The passports. The school. A phone call. That was the list. PK's attorney sent it by close of business. Dorit's attorney did not respond. Dorit did not respond. The house did not stop going to auction. The second lienholder did not care about the birthday postponement or the London meeting that probably did not happen or the six items that went unanswered. August 6th is in ten days. Whatever happens at that fountain in Pomona tomorrow morning walks directly into that courtroom. The nanny is the most informed adult in this situation. That is where we are.
Do you think the foreclosure will finally go through this time? And can someone check on Jagger's school situation? 👇 Drop it in the comments.
Keep Reading. It Gets Worse.

First of all, are you an attorney? Secondly, do you work for PK in some capacity (and/or are you related to him or dating him)? Lastly, did Dorit do something to you personally?
It seems you have a lot of legal and financial k knowledge regarding this situation, usually only their attorneys or accountants would have , and you seem to be heavily biased on PK’a side, hence the above questions.
If this was intended it to be persuasive essay against Dorit, you’ve done a fabulous job! If it’s supposed to be an unbiased story filled with facts and not opinions or feelings, then you’ve failed miserably. Excellent writing , how ever, regardless of the intent of the piece! 👌🏽
Hi Maura, Thank you for the compliment on the writing! To answer your questions, no attorney, no connection to PK whatsoever, and Dorit has done nothing to me personally. I am not alone in deciphering all of this — I work with people who have the knowledge to read and interpret these documents properly. If you follow DDW and read my other articles you would know I am far from a PK fan — I believe he is far from clean himself. But all the documents I referenced are public court records, available for anyone to read. I go where the receipts go. Right now the receipts are pointing in one direction. That can change on August 6th.
