The Porit Chronicles: Let The House Burn Down.

Part Five

Yes, we're still here. So is the house. Barely.

She Called In By Phone. PK Showed Up In Person. And The Whole Thing Nearly Fell Apart Over An Electricity Bill.

August 6th came. August 6th went. They were close to a deal — very close. And then Dorit decided the electricity bill was the hill she was prepared to die on. Not the mortgage. Not the $100,000 her friend lost. The electricity bill. The matter has been continued to the last week of August. She bought herself three weeks. Over a utility bill. The Chanel, presumably, is still current.

August 6th arrived. The hearing happened. PK was there — in person, in a courtroom in Los Angeles, as one is required to be when one is a party to legal proceedings. Dorit appeared by phone. Not by video. By phone. She called in. From wherever she was. Which was not Los Angeles. Which was not a courtroom. The hearing ran from 8:30am. All day. PK showed up. Dorit called in. The judge noticed the difference. We notice too.

Dorit asked for the settlement to be kept private. It is, she says, embarrassing. This from the woman who wrote a memoir, who calls TMZ every week, who spent nine seasons broadcasting every detail of her marriage, her finances, her friendships, and her feelings to millions of viewers with full Bravo production value. The stipulation, the numbers, the details — she would prefer none of it becomes public. The only way it stays private is if she signs and moves out. If she defaults — the courthouse doors open and everything comes out. She has one way to keep this quiet. It requires a pen. We have established that finding a pen has been a challenge.

The embarrassing part, Dorit, is not the stipulation. The embarrassing part is leaving your children with the nanny for three weeks while you spend $250,000 in Paris. The embarrassing part is calling into your own court hearing by phone from France. The embarrassing part is blocking a settlement over an electricity bill while the mortgage goes unpaid and the attorneys wait for $500,000. The embarrassing part is nearly $1 million in clothes while the house burned. But sure. The stipulation. That is the embarrassing part.

She is fighting over the electricity bill of a house she has to move out of. And that is the hill she chose.

She should have thought about privacy before Paris. Before the Vinted shop. Before the Chanel. Before the electricity bill became a national conversation. But here we are.

This is Part Five of The Porit Chronicles. If you are just joining us — welcome, and also, where have you been. Part One. Part Two. Part Three. Part Four. You are now in Part Five. Same house. Same judge. New level of chaos. Specifically: an electricity bill.

Dorit and PK Kemsley court hearing August 6 2026

THE HEARING — All Day. Very Close. And Then The Electricity Bill.

PK's attorneys spent all day trying to settle. They got very close. Dorit, per sources, was described as very difficult and very unreasonable — which, at this point, is a surprise to absolutely nobody who has been following this saga. PK offered to bring the mortgage current and pay all expenses if she moves out. Reasonable. Practical. The kind of offer a man makes when he has done the math and realized the house is worth less than what it costs to fight over it.

They were close to a deal. Very close. And then it fell apart. Not over the mortgage. Not over the $100,000 her friend lost. Not over the $351,000 in attorney fees. Not over the suspended LLC. Not over the children in Florida with the nanny. Not over any of the many, many things that have been filed in a courthouse in Los Angeles over the past several months.

The electricity bill.

Dorit wants it paid today. PK said 30 days. The attorneys are apparently in shock. We are not in shock. We have been covering this woman for months. The electricity bill is on brand. The electricity bill is exactly the hill Dorit Kemsley would choose. The mortgage can wait. The electricity bill cannot.

The electricity bill is holding up the settlement. Dorit wants it paid today. PK said no, 30 days. The attorneys are in shock. — Per sources following the August 6th hearing

THE $250,000 — She Spent It In Paris. While The Lawyers Were Negotiating.

$250,000 in three weeks in Paris. For context — people live in France for years without approaching that number. Where exactly does a quarter of a million dollars go in three weeks in Paris while your electricity bill goes unpaid? We do not know. Paris does.

Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. In Paris. Where does $250,000 go in Paris when you have a mortgage in default, an electricity bill you cannot resolve, attorneys waiting for $500,000, and a friend who lost $100,000 on your word? We genuinely do not know. But it went somewhere. And it did not go toward any of the above.

Dorit Kemsley PK Kemsley divorce settlement August 2026

THE OUTCOME — August 11th. The Clock Is Ticking. Again.

At 4:30pm the court continued the matter to the last week of August. With one understanding — Dorit would sign the stipulation tonight. Paul is going to have to hope she actually does. Because if she doesn't, she just bought herself a three week delay. And the house goes to auction on August 11th. Not the last week of August. August 11th. Because there was some confusion among the family law attorneys — they were apparently unaware that a notice of sale had already been issued with a foreclosure date of August 11th. The courthouse hallways, it turns out, are not airtight.

If Dorit doesn't sign tonight — PK will not fund the reinstatement. The property goes to auction on the 11th. Five days from now. The fact that Dorit didn't even show up in person after everyone worked all day, after the judge was very complimentary, is described as completely shocking and disrespectful. The term used: clueless litigant.

As of this morning — a further update. Dorit is now allegedly in Florida to pick up the children. She has still not signed the stipulated agreement. The agreement that would allow her to leave the house in a couple of months. The agreement she needed money for — specifically, for the utility bills. The electricity bill that held up an entire day of negotiations. She needed money for it. While spending $250,000 in Paris.

The Numbers That Matter — August 7, 2026 Foreclosure auction date if no signature: August 11th
House needs to sell: $8M–$9M to make it worth it
Houses for sale in Encino right now: 180+
Attorneys owed collectively: $500,000+
LA mansion tax: Will eat significantly into any equity
Dorit's Bravo contract estimate: $1.5M — will look light given her spending
Stipulation signed: Not yet
✦ ✦ ✦

PK WON — Two Years. Every Document. Every Payment. And He Won.

Let us be clear about what happened on August 6th. PK Kemsley walked into that courtroom in person. Dorit called in by phone. The house will be immediately listed to stop the foreclosure of the second lienholder. PK will bring the first mortgage current and take a gamble there will be equity when it sells. He gets paid back first. The judge validated everything PK has been saying for two years. The children are the priority. The house needs to go. Dorit needs to cooperate.

PK did not do this cleanly. He borrowed from friends. He leveraged Boy George. He bled for a house he didn't live in. He is owed $351,000 by his own attorney. But he showed up. Every time. In person. And on August 6th — he won.

One more detail worth noting. Per sources, Erika Jayne is a much better litigant than Dorit. That is for sure. The woman who went through the most publicized divorce in Housewives history — the one with the bankruptcy, the lawsuits, the victims — navigated it with more courtroom competence than Dorit Kemsley managed over an electricity bill. That is where we are.

✦ ✦ ✦

ENCINO — She Lost The House. She's Going Back To Encino Anyway.

Here is the final detail. Dorit is expected to be picked up by RHOBH for Season 16. And she will rent a house in Encino. Not Beverly Hills. Encino. The true 818, not 310, not 90210. There are over 180 houses for sale in Encino right now. The only thing really moving in LA is Beverly Hills proper. The house needs to sell between $8M and $9M to make it worth it — and that is before the LA mansion tax, which is calculated on the gross sale amount and will eat significantly into whatever equity remains. The attorneys, owed $500,000 collectively, will be swarming on anything left.

She fought for months to keep the Adlon Road house. She lost. And she is going back to Encino anyway. Just without the mortgage. Or the LLC. Or the equity. Or the friend's $100,000. But Encino. Still Encino. Dorit's rapacious spending, per sources, will make a $1.5 million Bravo contract look light. The show that the judge said has ruined her life — she is going back to it. In a rental. In Encino. With a camera crew. And presumably, a new narrative about her next chapter.

The best is yet to come. 🍷

✦ ✦ ✦

THE JUDGE — What He Said. And What He Quoted.

The judge was very clear. The most important issue is the children. The house was the easiest — and it still took all day. He told both parties to step up, set aside their issues, and worry about the children. He quoted Norman Lear — legendary television producer, creator of All in the Family and The Jeffersons, a man who spent his life making drama for a living and knew exactly what it looked like — who had two words to describe his philosophy: "once this is over, the parties can have next." There really is no next until this is over.

According to sources present at the hearing, the judge made clear that the show has come at a significant cost to Dorit's life — and will continue to do so as long as she feels compelled to maintain a public persona she cannot afford. A fake public persona. His words, not ours. Though we have been saying it for five articles. The judge reached this conclusion after one hearing. We reached it after nine seasons. We are choosing not to be offended by the timeline.

Dorit never read the real in Real Housewives. The cameras were always supposed to work for her — not against her. Nine seasons later, a judge in a Los Angeles courtroom explained the difference.

Norman Lear. Quoted in a Beverly Hills family court hearing. Over an electricity bill. We cannot make this up.

✦ ✦ ✦
Dorit Kemsley RHOBH Season 16 Bravo

BRAVO — Meanwhile. In The Background. Waiting With A Camera.

While all of this was happening in a courtroom in Los Angeles, Bravo was making casting decisions for Season 16. According to multiple sources, the current plan is to bring back Kyle Richards, Sutton Stracke, Rachel Zoe and Erika Jayne — though nothing has been officially confirmed.

Also happening on August 6th — the same day as the hearing — Amanda Frances confirmed she will not be returning for Season 16. Producers did not extend the invitation. She thought there was a good chance. There was not. The woman who told Dorit on camera that publicly bashing the father of her children was not a good look — gone after one season. Kyle Richards, meanwhile, says she would repair things with Dorit if she comes back. Whether Dorit comes back remains unconfirmed. Whether she can find a pen remains the question of the hour.

So. Dorit is somewhere. The house is still in foreclosure. The judge is quoting Norman Lear. The attorneys may withdraw. And Bravo is waiting in the wings with a Season 16 contract and a camera crew. Everyone is getting what they came for. Except perhaps the electricity company.

✦ ✦ ✦

THE NUMBERS — What's Actually Left. And Who Gets It.

Let us talk about the math. Because the math, as always, tells the real story.

The house needs to sell for $8 to $9 million to make it worth it. There are currently over 180 houses for sale in Encino. The real Encino — the 818, not the 310, not the 90210. The only thing really moving in Los Angeles right now is Beverly Hills proper. The LA mansion tax will eat a significant portion of the gross sale amount — it applies off the top, before anyone sees a dollar. The attorneys are owed over $500,000 collectively and will be swarming on any equity that remains. Dorit's spending, per sources at the hearing, will make a $1.5 million Bravo contract look light.

PK will graciously bring the first mortgage current and take a huge gamble that there will be equity after the sale. He gets paid back first. Whether there is anything left after the mortgage, the mansion tax, and $500,000 in attorney fees — is a question the math has not yet answered in anyone's favor.

And the foreclosure date for the second lienholder? August 11th. The family law attorneys were apparently unaware a notice of sale had already been issued. The courthouse hallways, per sources, are not airtight. There was enough hallway dialogue to figure it out. If Dorit does not sign the stipulation, PK will not fund any reinstatement and the property goes to auction on the 11th. Five days from now.

The Final Tally Houses for sale in Encino right now: 180+
Sale price needed to make it worth it: $8M — $9M
Attorneys owed collectively: $500,000+
Mansion tax: Off the gross. Before anyone gets paid.
Foreclosure date if she doesn't sign: August 11th
Days until August 11th: 5
Times Dorit has signed something when she said she would: 0

Further update: Dorit is now allegedly in Florida to pick up the children. She has still not signed the stipulation. She will reportedly rent a house in Encino for Season 16 — not Beverly Hills. Encino. Again. Just without the mortgage. Without the equity. Without the LLC. And apparently without the electricity paid. But Encino. The 818. Not the 90210. That particular illusion, at least, is over.

One does wonder if any landlord in Encino has done their due diligence. The electricity bill alone should give them pause.

✦ ✦ ✦

PK WON — Quietly. With A Printer. Over Two Years.

Let us say the quiet part out loud. PK Kemsley walked into that courtroom on August 6th in person. Dorit called in by phone. At the end of the day — after eight hours, a settlement that nearly collapsed over a utility bill, and a judge quoting Norman Lear — the house will be listed. The stipulation will be signed. Dorit will move out.

PK got what he came for. He just had to wait two years, borrow money from his sponsor, his friends, and Phoenix's godfather, pay $741,000 toward a mortgage he doesn't live in, and watch his wife spend nearly $1 million on clothes while telling him she had no money for the children's spring break.

He is not the hero of this story. We have said this before. The man has a forty-year history of exits timed to the last possible moment. But the receipts were his. The documents were his. The court, in the end, was his. Dorit performed for nine seasons. PK went to the courthouse. One of those strategies works better in family court.

Erika Jayne, for what it is worth, is apparently a better litigant than Dorit. The bar, in this case, was not high.

✦ ✦ ✦
✦ Ava's Verdict

PK showed up. Dorit called in. The judge quoted Norman Lear. They spent all day trying to settle a multi-million dollar divorce and nearly had a deal — until the electricity bill became the hill Dorit Kemsley was prepared to die on. Not the mortgage. Not the $100,000 her friend lost. Not the $351,000 in attorney fees. The electricity. She wants it paid today. PK said 30 days. The attorneys are in shock. The matter is continued to the last week of August.

She spent $250,000 in Paris while calling into the hearing by phone. The house is still in foreclosure. The LLC is still suspended. The children are still with the nanny. And Bravo is waiting with a Season 16 contract while Kyle Richards texts Dorit about repairing their friendship.

The judge said there is no next until this is over. He is correct. There is no next for Dorit — no Season 16, no memoir tour, no new chapter of pure joy — until she signs the stipulation. Tonight. Which she said she would do. Just like she said she would sign the stipulation for Antoniou's $100,000. Just like she said she would cooperate with the school applications. Just like she said a lot of things.

We will be watching. 🍷
